But deciding precisely how to give them proper guidance and support to thi s end is no easy task. In this practical session we will consider how best to use assessment for learning principles to determine learning needs and inform target setting\, and how learning objectives can be used to provid e feedback and support self and peer-assessment in the primary classroom. Examples will be provided of what this looks like in the context of a less on and a course and how information from this can be used alongside other forms of assessment.\n \;\nElena Merino is a Teacher Trainer for Pears on. She spent 4 years in Ireland and in the USA\, where she fell in love w ith the English language. PhD in Communication and Multilingual Education\ , she loves learning new things and collaborating with people from differe nt contexts and cultures. In class\, she&rsquo\;s concerned about creating meaningful real-world tasks that get students to use language in context. In her free time she loves travelling\, reading\, hiking and hanging out with friends and family.
